Suora lentoreitti Turusta Puolan Krakovaan avautui

Lentoyhtiö Wizz Air jatkaa uusien lentoyhteyksien avaamista Turusta. Yhtiö aloitti vapunpäivänä 1.5.2019 reittilennot Turusta Puolan Krakovaan. Reittiä operoidaan kahdesti viikossa, keskiviikkoisin ja sunnuntaisin.

Wizz Air on tehnyt viime aikoina useita avauksia Turusta Eurooppaan. Marraskuussa 2018 yhtiö aloitti lennot Turusta Liettuan Kaunasiin. Suora reitti Turusta Lontoon Lutonin lentoasemalle avataan 2.7.2019. ja Makedonian pääkaupunki Skopjeen 3.7.2019.

Turun lentoasemalla uutta yhteyttä juhlistettiin vapunpäivänä 1.5. avajaisjuhlalla, saapuvalle lennolle tehdyllä vesitervehdyksellä ja avajaisnauhan leikkauksella.

Ruuhkaton ja helppojen yhteyksien päässä oleva Turun lentokenttä on houkutteleva vaihtoehto Helsinki-Vantaan lentoasemalle. Jokaisen Turun seudulta matkustavan kannattakin ehdottomasti tarkistaa Turun tarjoamat reittivaihtoehdot ennen matkalle lähtöään.

Krakova on Puolan vanhimpia kaupunkeja. Krakovan asukasluku on noin 800 000 (esikaupunkeineen noin 1,2 miljoonaa) ja sen on Puolan toiseksi suurin kaupunki pääkaupunki Varsovan jälkeen. Kaupungin historia ulottuu aina keskiajalle asti.

Krakovan kenttä sijaitsee reilun kymmenen kilometrin päässä kaupungin keskustasta. Lentokentältä on bussiyhteys keskustaan.
